Permanent Life Insurance (Whole & Universal):

Highly competitive permanent life policy. Premiums are fixed for life. Policies include cash accumulation accounts. Policies will be issued with Guarantee Issue (no health questions asked) or Simplified Issue (minimum health questions asked). Completely portable with no change in benefit or premium. Some plans include features such as: Long Term Care Benefits, Accelerated Death Benefit, Critical Illness Benefits and Waiver of Premium. Spouse and Dependent Child policies issued regardless of employee participation. Voluntary Term Plans available as well.

Disability Income Protection:

Replaces up to 60%-70% of an employees income in the event of an injury or illness that prohibits the employee from working. Benefit periods for STD range from 3 months to 24 months. LTD available to either 5 years or age 65. With some carriers the employee tailors the policy to their own specific need. Generally issued with either Simplified or Guarantee basis. Guarantee issue is available for groups of 5. Maximum benefit varies by carrier ranging from $2,000/month to $6,000/month.

Critical Illness Benefit:

A living benefit that allows the policy holder to access a lump sum benefit for any of the following qualifying events: Heart Attack, Stroke Cancer, End Stage Renal Failure, Permanent Paralysis or Major Organ Transplant. The condition does not have to be terminal. The employee chooses the level of benefit desired. Provided either as a stand alone plan or a rider to a permanent life plan.

There are many other types of benefits available for employees. The list can include Long Term Care, Cancer Plans, Accident Plans, Hospital Indemnity and “Mini-Med” Plans.

Group Legal Plan (Sometimes Referred to as Pre-Paid Legal):

Provides employees with discounts for legal assistance. Most plans provide a Will free of charge, generally valued between $300 and $500 dollars. Also provides for eldercare directives, warranty problems, estate planning, landlord/tenant disputes, traffic court, home purchase and contract/document review...Takes the fear out of the legal system.
